I am still in amazement at the opportunities which I am being afforded as part of my training contract with FG Solicitors. I am currently 5 months (and 25 days!) into my training contract. Had I still been at Law School, I would have assumed that I would have just graduated from coffee-run and printing duty at this point.
For the past few months, however, I have been provided with the opportunity to take ownership (with supervision) of my own project as part of the Corporate Immigration team at FG Solicitors. Under this project, I have worked with the team to provide one of the firm’s clients with various services in support of their corporate establishment in the Middle East. Namely, this has included the incorporation of their subsidiary company in Saudi Arabia, as well as tackling complex visa challenges in relation to the movement of senior employees.
Until 2 weeks ago, this project had been largely hypothetical to me. Hours of work and research had been undertaken in relation to a country which I had only interacted with through emails and phone calls.
This changed 2 weeks ago, however, when I was told that I would be getting on a plane the following week to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In complete amazement, I spent the majority of last week in Riyadh, attending corporate meetings with clients of the firm and exploring the city. I feel honoured to have been provided with such an opportunity by FG Solicitors, and one which I can confidently say would not be afforded to many in my position. Between exploring the King Abdullah Financial District and the traditional town of Diriyah, it was a truly incredible experience.
If the first 6 months of my training contract are any indication of what is to come, I can confidently say that I am excited about my future with FG Solicitors.
Welcome to a more confident future!
